THE HEART BEHIND OUR PRACTICE

PPCC is deeply rooted in the legacy of Dr. Kinney's grandmother Carmen and Dr. Brisco's grandmother Erma. Both remarkable women who taught us that healing begins with love. They had a quiet but powerful way of nurturing those around them, often through simple acts: a warm meal, a kind word, a safe place to rest. They believed in feeding others—body, heart, and soul.

Both women shared a deep love for the color purple and the gentle beauty of butterflies. To them, purple symbolized strength, dignity, and transformation. Butterflies, delicate yet resilient, reminded them (and now us) that growth is always possible—even after life’s most difficult seasons.

Inspired by their wisdom, grace, and endless compassion, we created a space where people could come as they are and be met with the same warmth they once gave so freely. Our practice isn’t just about clinical care—it’s about legacy. It’s about honoring the women who taught us how to love others with gentleness and strength.

At our core, we are here to do what our grandmothers always did: offer care, comfort, and the belief that healing is possible.
